“Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfil the law of christ” Galatians 6:2

As a Catholic Church, we are gathered from many nations, and have become even more diverse in recent years. This has brought diverse groups, spiritualties and charisms together which actively reach out far and wide to announce the Gospel including the needy of the area.  Aside from the regular sacramental celebrations to sustain the faithful, it is also a missionary parish which endeavours to serve both the spiritual and material needs of the wider community.

WHERE IS THE COMMUNITY?

The City South Catholic Community situates in Deanery 6 of the archdiocese .

The Archdiocese is divided into 9 Deaneries each consisting of a number parishes, over which presides a dean appointed by a bishop. The duty of the dean is to watch over the clergy of the deanery, to see that they fulfill the orders of the bishop.

The vision for City South is to be a Catholic community of Truth, Beauty and Love

GOT QUESTIONS ABOUT FAITH?

Every year hundreds of people decide to become Catholic, and each one has their own special story. Each is drawn to the Church by different experiences and circumstances.

St Augustine, a great Saint of the Church said “Our hearts are restless O Lord, until they rest in you.” The desire for God is written in the human heart, because humankind is created by God and for God; and God never ceases to draw all humankind to himself.
